Established tech companies like Facebook may be losing their cool factor for today’s youngsters, but apparently the same isn’t true for Apple.

According to a new Piper Jaffray survey, young people are more loyal to Apple than ever — with the number of American teens using iPhones rising from 48% last year, to 61% in 2014.

These current figures double the percentage from two years back. Furthermore, 61% expect iPhones to be their next smartphones.

Six Armed Teenagers Rob Scottsdale Apple Store, Three Get Caught

What’s the point of robbing your local 7/11 and going to prison in exchange for a quick $200 when you can just drive uptown, pull a heist on the Apple Store, and walk out with every Apple device? At least, that’s the thinking of some thieves lately and Apple Store robberies have started to become more frequent over the past few years.

Early on the morning of January 3rd, six armed teenagers broke into the Apple Store at Scottsdale Quarter by shattering the front glass. The crew made quick work of the store and stole between $70,000 – $80,000 worth of merchandise. The burglary occurred before business hours and fortunately no one was harmed. Spotting the thieves as they were fleeing the scene, a local cab driver followed their vehicle down the street. Noticing the trailing cab, the thieves fired two shots at the cab, but both missed and the cab driver was uninjured.

Video Shows Spoiled Kids Crying On Twitter Because They Didn’t Get an iPhone For Christmas

(Warning: video is NSFW)

All I wanted for Christmas was an iPhone. That’s it. But my parents went off and bought me a stupid Kindle Fire…those dumb bastards. Actually I’d be pretty happy with receiving a new Kindle Fire, and I already have an iPhone 4S with the fancy camera and everything so I don’t need a new one of those, but apparently a lot of people were disappointed on Christmas morning when they didn’t unwrap a shiny new iPhone. Taking the audacity of privileged consumerism to new heights of hilarity, comedy writer Jon Hendren compiled the stream of dejected tweets into a music video to express the world’s ingratidude.

“WTF?! I Wanted An iPhone” is a catchy (but NSFW) tune that captures little treasures of bitterness that bloomed on Christmas morning. The enormous display of ingratitude is a bit shocking. Hey @SamStandsFoSwag we’re sorry mom and dad got you the black iPod Touch instead of the white one, but maybe when you graduate high school and get a job you’ll realize, “Oh dang, spending $200 on a silly music player is not the funnest thing to do in world.”
