In a new ad, Mad Men star Jon Hamm scrolls through the movies and shows on Apple TV+ and notes a conspicuous lack of Jon Hamm.

“Hey Apple, did I do something to offend you?” the actor asks.

Five Apple TV+ Original films and three series received a total of nine nominations Tuesday for the upcoming 53rd annual NAACP Image Awards.

Last year the streaming service netted 11 nominations and won Outstanding Independent Motion Picture for The Banker.

Just before the end of the year, Apple TV+ has one more prestige item to push. New sci-fi movie Swan Song stars multiple Academy Award winner Mahershala Ali and multiple Academy Award nominee Glenn Close.

Swan Song, which premieres Friday on Apple TV+, is a number of things: an inspirational disease drama, a sleek sci-fi parable, a clone movie, and the feature debut of an Academy Award-winning short film director, Benjamin Cleary.

Arriving so soon after Tom Hanks’ ho-hum Finch, viewers could be forgiven for preparing for the worst. Thankfully, there’s no need.

The genre-bending film Swan Song is reportedly nearing its debut on Apple TV+. It’ll star Oscar-winner Mahershala Ali, and the cast includes Glenn Close, Awkwafina and Naomie Harris.

In addition to appearing on the streaming service, Apple is planning a limited theater release beginning December 17 to qualify the movie for Oscar awards.

Swan Song, a new film starring two-time Academy Award winner Mahershala Ali, is being produced for Apple TV+. It was written, and will be directed, by another Academy Award winner, Benjamin Cleary.
