Apple launched a new ad campaign this week with two new short spots that showcase the superior shooting skills of the iPhone 7 Plus’ new Portrait Mode.

Both of the new ads highlight how to use Portrait Mode to elevate your pictures of people or pets to an all-new level. The new feature is technically still in beta, but it looks like Apple thinks it’s ready for its close-up.

Apple dropped a charming new iPhone ad over the weekend, showing off the Portrait mode available on Apple’s phablet-size iPhone 7 Plus.

Called “Take Mine,” the ad tells the story of a young woman who arrives in a Greek village to visit her grandma, only to quickly become an in-demand portrait photographer for the locals. Upbeat, warm, and showing off the iPhone 7’s impressive tech without a hard sales pitch, it’s a definite winner.

Apple released iOS 10.1 to the public this morning after weeks of beta testing the new Portrait Mode. The software update comes with a couple of other tweaks for iPhone and iPad as well as a number of bug fixes.

The fourth beta build of iOS 10.1 was seeded to public testers today by Apple after the company gave developers a first look at the software last week.

The new beta comes less than a week after Apple seeded iOS 10.1 beta 3 to testers, bringing a number of bug fixes and as well as support for Portrait Mode on the iPhone 7 Plus.

Developers received a batch of new beta software updates today bringing a bunch of bug fixes to the iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch and Apple TV.

iOS 10.1 beta 2 is the most notable of the new beta builds. The last version added the new Portrait Mode to the iPhone 7 Plus, which has earned rave reviews so far, though some early images have shown it still needs some tweaking.

The third beta builds of macOS Sierra 10.12.1 was seeded to developers today, less than a week after Apple released the second build that contained a number of bug fixes.

Developers can pick up the new beta directly form the Apple Developer Center, or install it via the Mac App Store’s software update option if the previous beta build is already installed on your Mac.
