This week’s Fortnite update is now available across all platforms, including iOS.

Version 6.0.1 isn’t quite as exciting as last week’s big season six launch, but it does bring some new content to enjoy. Players can take advantage of the Chiller trap in Battle Royale and there are more options to play around with in Playground mode.

Fortnite’s controversial guided missile is back in today’s big content update.

You can enjoy it in regular Battle Royale matches, as well as in the brand new Fly Explosives game mode, filled with jetpacks and explosive weapons. Slurp Juice issues have also been fixed in this release.

Hurrah! Fortnite Battle Royale’s exciting new Playground mode has finally returned, and you can enjoy it now across all platforms.

Playground was removed shortly after making its initial debut last week as a result of technical troubles. Epic promised it would return this week and it has today confirmed the new limited-time game mode is now open to all.

Fortnite’s long-awaited Playground mode made its official debut last week, but it didn’t last long. Almost immediately after Playground went live, Epic Games was forced to close it down due to a host of technical problems.

Epic has promised that Playground will return this week, and in a new update published today, it says “recent tests look promising.” But we probably shouldn’t get our hopes up just yet.

Fortnite’s new Playground mode will finally be available inside Battle Royale this week, giving players the ability to hone their skills in a more forgiving game type.

Playground lets teams “run wild on your own private island,” where you can build and fight at your leisure. You will instantly respawn when you die so that you don’t have to wait to get back into the action.
