Fortnite 8.11 brings insanely powerful Flint-Knock pistol

This week’s Fortnite update brings yet another new weapon to Battle Royale. The Flint-Knock pistol is a powerful sidearm that uses heavy ammo and can deal up to 90 base damage in a single shot.

The version 8.11 release also brings back the impulse grenade, makes the scoped assault rifle more powerful, and more.

Fortnite fans are still enjoying last week’s massive season eight update, but many will have noticed that certain things need fixing. One of those is the audio for a bunch of weapons and items, which Epic Games is already working on fixing.

Seth Weedin, Fortnite’s technical sound designer, has detailed a number of big audio improvements that will roll out in a version 8.01 patch.

Fortnite’s weekly update has arrived with the long-awaited Heavy Assault Rifle. It deals more damage that any other AR but has a smaller magazine size so you’ll have to keep an eye on your ammo.

The version 6.22 patch also brings the Team Terror and Blitz limited-time game modes and a number of tweaks and improvements.

Epic Games just rolled out this week’s Fortnite update, giving players a new way to float into battle.

Fortnite’s hugely popular Playground mode is making a comeback this week with support for squad battles, the all terrain kart, and “lots more loot.”

Epic Games has also promised birthday rewards when you complete challenges and quests in-game to celebrate Fortnite’s first anniversary. It’s sure to be a crazy week for fans of Battle Royale.

Intel fixes Spectre flaw in latest CPUs

Intel has completed its Spectre fixes for its latest range of processors.

Patches for Skylake, Kaby Lake, and Coffee Lake chipsets are now available to computer and motherboard manufacturers. Apple has already rolled out macOS and OS X updates to fix the problem.
