TV+ ReviewLittle America, the easygoing Apple TV+ series about the immigrant experience in America, returns this week for a second season of predictably uplifting storytelling.

This parade of hard-luck stories features happy endings that range from gentle to ecstatic. Just like last season, the show is largely successful — if frequently too well-behaved for its own good.

Gamer-themed workplace comedy Mythic Quest returns to Apple TV+ on November 11. That’s the date the third season of the hilarious show premieres, Apple said Thursday.

Apple’s streaming video service also announced the launch dates for new seasons of Slow Horses and Little America.

The meteoric rise and fall of the co-working space startup WeWork is set to be turned into a show for Apple TV+, according to Variety.

Apple tapped Lee Eisenberg and Drew Crevello to develop a limited series based on the six-part Wondery podcast WeCrashed: The Rise and Fall of WeWork. The last episode of the series was just published this week but Apple is wasting no time trying to come out with the first movie or series based on the disastrous startup.

I canceled my Apple TV+ subscription just over a month after the service launch, but the company’s latest batch of behind-the-scenes videos is making consider giving it a second chance.

Following up on yesterday’s preview of Mythic Quest, Apple dropped three more featurettes that give an in-depth look at episodes of Little America. Boasting a Rotten Tomatoes score of 94%, Little America has been one of the most well-reviewed shows on Apple TV+ and it’s not hard to see why in the new videos.

Apple Originals series Little America was rejected by a multiple networks before it finally found a home on Apple TV+. That’s according to the show’s executive producer Kumail Nanjiani.

“We pitched to a bunch of different places, and the truth is some of these more traditional outlets that have been around for decades, were a little hesitant about the show,” Nanjiani told Forbes.

After a draught of new content on Apple TV+ over the holidays, the streaming service got 5 hours and 15 minutes of new shows to watch this week. Apple debuted all 8 episodes of its Apple Originals series Little America.

The critically acclaimed anthology series tells true stories of immigrants in America. It was developed by Kumail Nanjiani and Emily Gordon, writers of The Big Sick, and former US Office writer and producer, Lee Eisenberg.

Apple TV+’s upcoming series Little America is pretty darn great. At least, if reviews aggregator Rotten Tomatoes is to be believed.

With the initial critic reviews in, Little America‘s current rating stands at a, well, flawless 100%. By contrast, previous Apple TV+ shows like The Morning Show were panned by early critics.

Apple inks multi-year content deal with Little America co-creator

Lee Eisenberg, the co-creator behind Apple’s upcoming TV series, Little America, has inked a multi-year to create content for Apple TV+.

Apple already ordered a second season of Little America ahead of its premiere later this month. Now Eisenberg is one of the few creators to score an overall deal with Apple that will see him developing original TV and digital media projects exclusively for the iPhone-maker.

The first trailer for Little America, Apple’s anthology series about immigrants, is finally here, and it might just be the antidote we need for these wildly divisive impeachment days.

Clocking in at just over two minutes, the Little America trailer starts with a round table discussion among immigrants from various nations talking about things you’ll only see in America. The trailer then dives into glimpses from the eight different episodes that show the uniqueness of all immigrant stories.

Little America gets second season deal for Apple TV+

Apple is so confident in one of its upcoming TV shows that it’s already been greenlit for a second season before the first season has even debuted on Apple TV+.

Season one of Little America, an anthology series about the lives of American immigrants, is set to air on Friday, Jan. 17, 2020. Created by The Big Sick writers Kumail Nanjiani and Emily V. Gordon, along with Lee Eisenberg, the season is comprised of eight 30-minute long episodes and Apple just shared snippets on what each one is about.
