The final episode of the first season of Mr. Corman premiered on Apple TV+ this week, and it turns out that’s all there’ll ever be. Cupertino reportedly canceled the show, which stars Joseph Gordon-Levitt.
That’s a rare move by Apple’s streaming service. This is only the second show it’s nixed.
The latest Apple TV+ children’s show, the joyously analog Wolfboy and the Everything Factory, is a celebration of creativity. Will it be the first of the Apple TV+ kids shows to make a splash outside of its subscriber base? Time will tell, but its heart is in the right place.
Apple TV+ plans to air three new shows for kids and families in the coming weeks. One is set to debut later in September, while two others premiere in October.
We’ll have to see if any of them can match the critical success of Apple TV+’s award-winning kids’ show Stillwater.

Mr. Corman, the new series starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt, just got its very first trailer ahead of its Apple TV+ debut. The two-minute clip gives us a taste of what’s to come from the “darkly funny, oddly beautiful” comedy.
Arturo Castro, a switch-hitting actor adept at both comedy and drama, will join Joseph Gordon-Levitt in the upcoming Apple TV+ drama series Mr. Corman.
Gordon-Levitt signed with Apple last September to write and play the lead character, Josh Corman, an elementary school teacher. Castro will play his roommate.
