Apple’s forthcoming low-cost iPhone, often referred to as the iPhone SE 2 or (confusingly) the iPhone 9, is set to enter mass production in February, Bloomberg claims. The news outlet claims that Apple could unveil the iPhone SE 2 “as early as March.”

Production on the new handset is reportedly being split between regular Apple contract manufacturers Foxconn, Pegatron, and Wistron.

The latest detail leaking out on a hotly-anticipated low-cost iPhone indicate this handset — possibly called the iPhone SE 2 – will have a back of frosted glass.

Quite a bit of other information about this model has come to light, including its dimensions. Which is not surprising, considering it’s rumored to launch in about two months.

It’s no surprise Apple is working on a new iPhone SE for 2020. Recent rumors have indicated it will make its debut in the spring. But that particular model might be just one of two planned for this year.

A new report claims Apple is also working on a larger, “upgraded” version that will be available later in the year.

iPad Pro fans hoping for new models before the end of 2019 are likely out of luck.

Today’s launch of the new 16-inch MacBook Pro (and slight delay of the Mac Pro launch) are likely to be the last major Apple hardware announcements this year, according to TF International Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo. The often-reliable Apple analyst told investors today that new iPad Pros won’t come out until the first half of 2020 — but new features might make the wait worth it.
