Hit TV show Family Guy followed a trajectory that’s very similar to Apple’s. The show appeared as a breath of fresh air early on, underwent a decline during which it almost vanished, then made a triumphant return.

In that way, Family Guy always seemed a perfect fit for iOS. Earlier this year, that pairing finally happened when developer TinyCo debuted Family Guy: The Quest for Stuff, a mobile game that follows Peter Griffin and the rest of the Fox TV show’s colorful supporting cast as they rebuild the town of Quahog after it’s been destroyed.

Six months down the line — and with the game currently in the middle of a haunting, courtesy of its Halloween update — Cult of Mac spoke with the developers about Seth McFarlane, making games funny, and the perils of in-app purchases.

Play And Laugh In Family Guy: The Quest For Stuff [Video Review]

Family Guy is one of the most popular comedy shows on television nowadays. While people everywhere can watch the show, the creators behind the show have made games for fans to enjoy as well. The new app Family Guy: The Quest For Stuff is an interactive touch based game full of fun quests, funny dialogue and much more. After Peter fights the giant chicken and accidentally destroys Quahog it’s your job to help build it back up to what it once was. Do you think you have the skills to help restore Quahog?

The success of The Simpsons: Tapped Out meant it was only a matter of time before Family Guy got similar mobile game treatment.

First announced back in December, today marks the arrival of Family Guy: The Quest for Stuff in the App Store.

A joint venture between Fox and TinyCo studios, the game lets you help Peter Griffin and the rest of the Quahog residents to rebuild their city after it’s destroyed.

Expect lots of fan service, in the form of regular Family Guy characters and reprised gags from previous episodes (Mermaid Peter, Rambo Lois, and the Petercopter, for instance.)

With the success of The Simpsons: Tapped Out, it’s no surprise that Family Guy would also want to get in on the mobile action.

First announced back in December, Fox and TinyCo have now released the first screenshots of the upcoming free-to-play title, which looks set to land in the App Store around April.

The game will follow an original storyline from the show’s writing staff, but will also include plenty of fan service — referencing the series’ 212 episodes — to appeal to longtime viewers.
