At age 56, Eddy Cue is going back to school. Kind of. Cue, who is Apple’s senior vice president of Internet Software and Services, has been announced a member of the Duke University Board of Trustees, university officials announced Thursday.

Cue attended Duke in the 1980s, studying computer science and economics. Duke has played a big part in his life. Not only did he meet his wife there, but both his sons, Adam and Spencer, studied computer science at Duke. Cue is a big fan of Duke basketball and attends many of the games. He has previously been involved with the Duke Technology Scholar program, encouraging women to study computer science and electrical engineering.

Scientists want to know if the health data an Apple Watch collects can be used to diagnose COVID-19. There are multiple research studies currently open to those with Apple’s wearable.

Participants contribute to the goal of detecting the illness before the wearer knows they’re sick.

The new location of the new Apple HQ is supposed to be revealed by the end of 2018. According to a new report, one of the spots Apple is looking at is in the same area that Amazon is eying too.

Tim Cook will give the commencement address for Duke University’s graduating class this Sunday, May 13. Cook graduated from Duke’s Fuqua School of Business with an MBA in 1988.

“I’m honored to be returning to Duke this weekend to help celebrate the Class of 2018,” Cook told Duke University’s Chronicle newspaper this week. “I graduated from Fuqua 30 years ago, and the friends and memories I made at Duke are among the most treasured of my life.”

Cook is a 1988 MBA graduate of Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business, as well as a member of the university’s Board of Trustees. Cook has previously given successful, inspirational and funny commencement addresses at MIT, Auburn University (which he attended before Duke), and George Washington University.

Speaking at a reunion for Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business, Tim Cook outlined what kind of attributes he looks for in employees and what it takes to be a great collaborator.
