Take the MacBook Pro and stir in some of the best features of the iPhone and you’d get a small notebook with a big screen, facial recognition and a processor made by Apple.

Watch a video of this proposed uber-sleek device:

This MacBook Pro concept was dreamed up by Viktor Kádár, an industrial design student from Budapest. He had help from Hungary-based iMagazin.

Kádár imagines an edge-to-edge display that would let a 14-inch OLED display fit into the same size chassis as today’s 13-inch model. And there’s somehow still room for Face ID.

Another feature Kádár proposes making the jump from the iPhone are rounded edges. The MacBook Pro’s whole body would be quite slim.

MacBook Pro concept without a touchscreen?

Somewhat surprisingly, the Hungarian designer isn’t suggesting Apple include a touchscreen. Instead, he just would like to see a Taptic Engine added to the Touch Bar for tactile feedback when virtual buttons are pressed.

On the inside would be an Apple processor, not an Intel one. The chips used in iPhone and iPad have reached the point where they’re as powerful as some Intel ones and there have been unconfirmed reports that Apple will start using its own silicon in 2020 Mac models.

Of course, Kádár’s concept is just a dream. But some of the features could well show up in any 2019 MacBook Pro.
