Apple is planning to make big improvements to the next iPhone’s cellular reception, according to a new rumor out of Asia.

Now that the iPhone X is on sale, the Apple rumor mill is starting to turn its attention to next year’s model, and one of the most reliable analysts in the game is already starting to chime in with new clues on the 2018 lineup.

The 2018 iPhone won’t come with a rear-facing TrueDepth camera, according to one of the most accurate Apple analysts in the business.

KGI Securities analyst Ming Chi-Kuo sent investors a note today that the array of sensors that power Face ID and animoji will stay at the front of iPhones, for now.

The debate over whether the iPhone 8 will come with Touch ID has just been reignited thanks to a new video that allegedly shows off some of the devices new features.

A video of an alleged iPhone with Touch ID in the back surfaced on the Chinese microblogging site Weibo today. Although details in the video are hard to make out, it appears to show someone testing the Touch ID sensor during the Q&A process.

A new sound file hidden inside iOS 11 may hint at a major new feature coming to the iPhone 8 later this year.

Early rumors claim Apple’s next smartphone will pack inductive charging capabilities when it debuts in the fall. Now it looks like iOS 11 may have confirmed the feature with a new sound file called “engage_power.caf” that’s not being used at all.
