Photo+, A Lightning-Fast Photo Browser App For Mac

Sometimes all you want to do is flip through a folder full of photos, maybe cropping a few of them and deleting the worst ones. That’s exactly what Arcsoft’s new Photo+ for OS X is for. You just drag a single photo onto the app and you’re off – able to use the arrow keys to navigate every other image in the folder, cropping and deleting as you go.

The app works with pretty much any image you can throw at it, even RAWs and animated GIFs. It’ll auto-rotate an pictures that have the orientation flag set by your camera (you can also rotate manually), and you can flag, reject, delete and crop your images quickly.

It seems like a great way for luddites to manage their entire collections, and for the likes of you and me to winnow down a big folder of images before adding them to something like iPhoto or Lightroom. Best of all, it’s cheap–just $2 right now. What are you waiting for? This kind of thing should be built into the Finder, after all.
