Apple debuts stylish new ads for Apple Watch Series 2, iPhone 7

Apple debuted three new ads over the weekend: two of them for the new iPhone 7, and one for the Apple Watch Series 2.

Highlighting the new waterproofing features of all the devices, along with the low-light camera sensor of the next-gen iPhone, they’re strong, artistic ads — which do the job of explaining to you what Apple’s new smartwatch and handset are capable of, without making it feel like you’re being given the hard sell.

Apple has dropped the first of many iPhone 7 ads — called, with Jony Ive levels of minimalism, “iPhone 7.”

Rather than explicitly advertise specific features of the next-gen handset, Apple instead opts for a moody teaser commercial, playing off the black color scheme of its latest iPhone.

Apple’s new Shot on iPhone ads feature lots of slo-mo and timelapse

Apple has added two new spots to its iconic ‘Shot on iPhone’ campaign that highlight the iPhone’s video capabilities.

The short new ads only last 15 seconds. One highlights the effects you can get by using iPhone’s slo-mo video and some windblown hair, while the other captures how thrilling it is to zip down the cable car in Bregenz, Austria.

Apple’s “Shot on iPhone” ad campaign got a tiny dose of nature with the company’s two latest video ads that highlight the iPhone’s ability to capture amazing close-up macro videos.

The two new ads star a nut loving chipmunk and an ant on the prowl, and somehow manage to be incredibly captivating.

The Euro 2016 soccer football championships are set to kickoff tomorrow in France and Apple is marking the occasion with yet another “Shot on iPhone” ad that will make you feel weepy with love for the beautiful game.

Apple’s ad for the biggest football tournament outside the World Cup features pictures and videos of kids playing football around the world with Little Simz inspirational song “Wingz” in the background.

Mother’s Day is less than a week away and to celebrate, Apple has published a new video ad that spotlights mothers across the globe.

The new ad was shot entirely on iPhone, only instead of hiring a high-profile filmmaker to shoot the touching commercial, Apple compiled a collection of photos and short videos of moms shot by amateur photographers and iPhone users.

Google takes a leaf out of Samsung’s marketing playbook in its latest Android ad, with a subtle swipe at Apple and the lack of choice you get when you choose iOS.

“Monotune” is part of the company’s “Be together. Not the same.” campaign, and it’s nothing short of brilliant.

To provide its “VIP” users with a greater experience, and to prevent them from wandering to rival services, Twitter has all but stopped injecting ads into their timelines.

Apple Music has gone country in the streaming service’s latest ad that debuted last night during ABC’s broadcast of the Country Music Awards. The new ad gives viewers a backstage peek at Kenny Chesney’s ‘No Shoes Nation’ tour as the country singer uses Apple Music to create playlists, and discover new tunes

Along with waxing philosophical about the ‘human element’ Apple Music offers, the one-minute ad also features the Apple Watch that’s worn by Chesney to track his workouts as he slams medicine balls into the ground while aspiring to become a bull rider.

Funnyman Bill Hader spammed in new ‘Hey Siri’ ad

Bill Hader eats a hamburger while getting Siri to read him his email in this new fun video from Apple. The message from “Prince Oseph” offers Hader a life-changing opportunity, and having his iPhone read it really shows off the “Hey Siri” functionality in iOS 9.

Nerd cred: Obviously, Hader is using an iPhone 6s, because Hey Siri only works when not connected to power on the latest iteration of Apple’s flagship smartphone.

Call me cynical, but when I saw the latest ad in the “If it’s not an iPhone, it’s not an iPhone” series Thursday afternoon, I felt a little uneasy.

Sure, there’s over a million stores you can use Apple Pay in, but if this ad is to be believed, they’re all the same corporate-owned stores you’ll see in every mall across the US.

Ugh.

Apple continued its marketing blitz for the Apple Watch today with four new TV ads that highlight how useful the new wearable is for fitness freaks as well as travel junkies.

Two of the clever new ads titled ‘Beijing’ and ‘Berlin’ show two sets of friends using Apple Watch and its many apps to explore the city, talk to locals in a different language, and communicate on the fly. The other two ads feature number fitness and goal setting apps, as well as how the watch brings people closer together.

One of the most interesting things about Apple’s continued expansion into China is going to be watching how it tweaks its marketing to target a country Tim Cook has claimed will soon be Apple’s biggest market.

Ahead of Chinese New Year on February 19, Apple has debuted a new ad in China, updating it’s warmly-received U.S. ad “The Song” for a new audience. Both ads tell the story of a young woman who uses a combination of their Mac and GarageBand to record a duet featuring their grandmother’s voice from the past.

As with virtually every ad Apple has ever put out, the message is less about technology for its own sake, and more to do with how it can be used to enhance the life of individual users.

Apple is back with a new tearjerker of a Christmas ad, entitled “The Song.” Like last year’s Emmy-winning TV spot for the holidays, the company has chosen to showcase how its products make people feel, rather than what they do.

This time around, a young musician uses Garageband on her Mac to make a song for her grandmother. Expect to start seeing this on TV quite a bit over the next couple of weeks.
