Despite our previous warnings advising you to avoid the latest Duke Nukem release, if you’re still keen on purchasing the title for your Mac, it’s now available to pre-order.
After 15 years in development, Duke Nukem Forever finally hit consoles and Windows PCs back in May, and enjoyed a torrent of poor reviews that declared the release was in no way worth its wait. Rather than avoiding the release and trying to forget it ever happened, however, Aspyr Media decided it wasn’t fair for Mac users to miss out on the return of Duke.
The game is due for release in August, but you can pre-order through the Aspyr website now if you’re eager to waste spend your money in advance.
It’s $45 — $5 less than the post-release price — and will require a Mac with at least an Intel Core 2 Duo 2.4GHz processor, running Mac OS X 10.6.7 or later, with at least 2GB of RAM. The game is rated M for muck mature.
