Despite its small size, the iPad mini costs $499. If you want Apple’s smallest tablet, Amazon has a deal that knocks up to $120 off the device.

This discount drops the price of the entry-level iPad mini to just $399. And if you opt for the 256GB configuration, it is available for $529 after a hefty $120 off.

Apple refreshed the iPad mini in 2021. As a part of the redesign, the tablet got a bigger 8.3-inch Liquid Retina display and a faster A15 Bionic chip. In 2024, the chip is certainly showing its age and not as fast as Apple’s M1 chip.

Still, if you want a compact tablet, the iPad mini 6 won’t disappoint you. It has enough grunt to run all your favorite iPadOS apps and games. The compact dimensions make carrying the tablet a breeze and ideal for video calls. Thanks to a 12MP front camera with Center Stage support, you don’t have to worry about staying in the frame while on calls.

As Cult of Mac‘s Ian Fuchs noted in his iPad mini 6 review, the device is the perfect tablet for casual use.

There’s no better small tablet than iPad mini 6

With a $100 discount, you can get the iPad mini 6 with 64GB storage for $399. That’s a fantastic price for a tablet that will serve you well for the next few years. Ideally, you should go for the 256GB storage variant, which gets a bigger $120 discount. You can also score big discounts on the Wi-Fi + Cellular variants of the iPad mini 6.
