Some home computer setups go extra-large on visuals, others pump up quality sound — and some go nuts with both in equal measure.

Today’s featured Mac Studio and MacBook Pro setup features not only six exceptional displays — including Apple’s vaunted, $5,000 Pro Display XDR — it also adds a bonus sound system to its complete Sonos home-theater audio array.

Redditor TSlade14 (“Slide”) showcased the setup and its audio-visual riches in a post entitled, “My massive Mac set up.” He captioned the photos, “All sorts of fun here :)”

“My favorite part is the 6 square inches you left yourself to move the mouse around,” quipped a commenter.

“I think you need more monitors,” added another.

Here’s how Slade described what he’s got going on:

2 studio displays. 1 Pro Display [XDR]. 1 Philips 49[-inch] curved monitor. 1 MacBook Pro for Pro Display. 1 Mac Studio to drive everything else. Full Sonos home theater set up with rears and base and arc bar under monitors and a bonus stereo set up with Adam A7X and Yamaha 10 inch bass box and lastly, iPad Pro!

So he’s got a MacBook Pro driving his Pro Display XDR on the right side in the main photograph above. The Mac Studio desktop machine doesn’t appear to be visible in the photos, but it drives most of the rest of the setup. And that includes two Studio Displays, an epic ultra-wide Philips display and the device screens (MacBook Pro and iPad Pro).

The 49-inch Philips is what the company calls a SuperWide 32:9 LED monitor with dual QHD (5120 x 1440 pixel resolution) with a 1800r curved VA screen. It also features DisplayHDR 400 for vibrant color, USB-C (3.1 Gen 2 and PD 2), HDMI and DisplayPort connectivity, plus built-in speakers, KVM switch for sharing peripherals and a pop-up webcam.

Slade’s setup is big on sound as well as displays. It features not just a full Sonos home theater sound system, but a bonus Adam powered studio monitor speaker and a powered Yamaha subwoofer.

A full home-theater system, in this case, includes rear speakers that fill the room from behind where people sit, plus a subwoofer that pumps out low end near the floor.

Slade’s system includes the popular premium Sonos Arc smart soundbar. It packs Dolby Atmos, voice remote (Amazon Alexa), Sonos app control and AirPlay 2, along with 11 drivers for powerful yet detailed audio.
