Just two months after its release, the 16-inch MacBook Pro is down to its lowest-ever price after a $200 discount
Right now, you can get the entry-level 16-inch MacBook Pro for $2,299, down from $2,499. A similar deal is available on the 1TB and M2 Max models.
2023 MacBook Pro is faster and lasts longer
Apple’s 2023 16-inch MacBook Pro retains the same design as its predecessor. The significant changes are all internal, including the switch to a faster M2 Pro chip. Apple claims the custom system on a chip is 20% faster in multithread tasks and can compile Xcode up to 25% faster than M1 Pro.
You can configure the M2 Pro with a 10- or 12-core CPU, and it ships with a more powerful 19-core GPU that delivers a 30% performance uplift. Despite the faster chip, the 16-inch MacBook Pro lasts an hour longer than its predecessor in video playback, according to Apple.
If you have an even more demanding workload, get the 16-inch MacBook Pro with the M2 Max chip. With a 12-core CPU and up to 38-core GPU, the machine can handle processor-intensive tasks with ease.
Two other major changes on the 2023 MacBook Pro include Wi-Fi 6E support and an HDMI 2.1 port. The latter allows the machine to drive displays with up to 8K resolution.
Save big on the 16-inch MacBook Pro
With a starting price of $2,499, the 16-inch MacBook Pro is not cheap. But with Amazon knocking $200 off its price, the machine becomes a lot more affordable. If you need more storage, the 1TB configuration is also available with a similar $200 discount. This brings its price down to $2,499 from $2,699.
Even better, Amazon is currently offering the M2 Max MacBook Pro with a $200 discount as well. So, instead of $3,499, you’ll only have to pay $3,299 for it. The deal on all three machines is only available on the space gray color. So, if you want a silver laptop, look elsewhere.
This is an amazing deal on the 16-inch MacBook Pro and unlikely to last for long, especially on the M2 Max model. So place your order before stocks run out.
