Apple’s 2021 16-inch MacBook Pro packs all the features you want

Apple’s M2 Pro and M2 Max chips bring about a 20% uplift in CPU performance. The GPU is also about 30% faster.

If you have an extremely demanding workload, opt for the M2 Pro/Max MacBook Pros. The additional horsepower will come in handy in such situations. But if your workload is not that intense, consider getting the M1 Pro/Max model. This way, you will even save some money on your purchase.

Apple’s 2021 16-inch MacBook Pro is plenty fast, even by today’s standards. It also packs all the bells and whistles you’d want. This includes an HDMI port, a dedicated SD card slot, three Thunderbolt 4 ports, and MagSafe 3.

Save $500 on the M1 Max 16-inch MacBook Pro

The entry-level M1 Pro 16-inch MacBook Pro with 512GB storage is available for $2,099 on Amazon, down from its usual price of $2,499. That’s a sweet $400 discount off its MSRP.

If you want more storage, the 1TB model is available for $2,199 after a heftier $500 discount. So at the discounted price, you can upgrade from the 512GB to the 1TB M1 Pro 16-inch MacBook Pro by only paying an additional $100. Do note that the discount is only available on the space gray shade.

If you have a more demanding workload, get the 16-inch MacBook Pro with the faster M1 Max chip and 32GB RAM. Apple charged $3,499 for the machine, but Amazon is selling it for $2,999 — a sweet $500 off.

This is among the lowest prices Apple’s 2021 MacBook Pro has fallen to since launch. With the laptops now discontinued, stocks are unlikely to last for long. So pull the trigger before the deal expires.
