Just ahead the holidays, Sabrent offered a new set of solid state drives (SSD) that could be a perfect little gift for any techie on your list — the updated Sabrent Rocket Nano V2.

The redesigned version, no larger than a “fun-sized” candy bar, supports fast data transfer speeds and can store up to 4TB. And they can fit in someone’s pocket.

Sabrent Rocket Nano V2 SSD

Sabrent makes the tiny external drives from aluminum alloy. Unlike the first Rocket Nano, which came in silver, black, gold, blue, red and pink colors (still does), V2 comes in no-nonsense black.

Capacities are 1TB, 2TB and 4 TB. Size-wise, these little guys are just 2.85in long, 1.3in wide and 0.6in high. They weigh 1.75 ounces.

And they can handle transfer speeds of more than 1,500MB per second, thanks to their USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 interface. At that rate, the drives are suitable for transferring 8K video, for example.

The SSD includes a silicone sleeve you can take on and off. It offers basic protection against scratches and such. Plus you also get two cables: USB-C to USB-C and a USB-C to USB-A.

Sabrent Rocket Nano V2 is available in 1TB ($119.00) and 2TB ($199.99) and 4TB ($499.99) sizes at Amazon or Sabrent.

Where to buy: Amazon for 1TB, 2TB or 4TB, or Sabrent
