Details on Apple’s 2023 top-tier handset are starting leak out. It will supposedly be dubbed iPhone 15 Ultra and include a pair of front-facing cameras and USB-C. Plus, the base model will have more storage capacity.

Although the iPhone 14 series is still brand new, it’s never too soon to start looking ahead.

iPhone 15 Ultra!

Admit it: iPhone 14 Pro Max is just not a very good name. Apple is reportedly going to make a change in the next model. The most powerful iOS handset will allegedly be called the iPhone 15 Ultra.

This isn’t unprecedented. It follows on the heels of Apple naming its latest top-tier processor the M1 Ultra. And, of course, there’s the new Apple Watch Ultra.

What to expect

Given its three-year iPhone design strategy, Apple will almost certainly change the look of its handsets in 2023. And tipster Majin Bu claims among the enhancements in the iPhone 15 Ultra will be a pair of front-facing cameras. What the second one will be for isn’t clear. The premium handset will also supposedly start at 256 GB of storage.

Apparently to help differentiate the two models, the iPhone 15 Pro will allegedly have one front camera and start at 128GB of storage.

Both models reportedly will have USB-C in place of a Lightning port. That’s a safe prediction as previous leaks indicate that all Apple’s 2023 iOS handsets will have USB-C.

While some people may be surprised that leaks about next year’s iPhone models are already coming out, this is not unusual. The first leaks about the iPhone 14 came out before the iPhone 13 even reached customers, and they turned out to be substantially correct.
