Apple has started selling refurbished Mac Studio in the United States, Canada, and select other European countries. You can save up to 15% by picking up a refurbished Mac Studio instead of purchasing a brand new unit.
Update: Apple has again updated its Certified Refurbished store with fresh refurb M1 Max Mac Studio units with one-day delivery for most locations. Stocks are unlikely to last for long, so if you find a configuration you want, pull the trigger on it.
Refurbished Mac Studio ships immediately
Currently, Apple has the M1 Max Mac Studio with 512GB storage and 32GB storage listed for $1,799. That’s $200 off the machine’s retail price. When stocked, higher-end variants are likely to carry an even bigger discount.
Stocks are unlikely to last long. So if the Mac Studio variant you want is in stock, grab it as soon as possible.
If you immediately need the Mac Studio, buying from Apple’s refurbished store makes a lot more sense. The device ships immediately, and you won’t need to wait a few weeks to get your hands on it. Apart from the US and Canada, MacRumors reports you can purchase refurbished Mac Studio units through Apple’s online store in Spain, Germany, Ireland, Switzerland, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom.
The Mac Studio was first announced in March 2022. It is currently the most powerful Mac in Apple’s lineup, thanks to the M1 Ultra. However, the machine has been in short supply since its launch due to the lockdown in China. Apple’s online store currently lists the Mac Studio with 6-7 weeks delivery time. That’s slightly better than the 8-10 weeks delivery time that was showing up until mid-June.
Extend coverage using AppleCare+
All certified refurbished Mac Studio units carry the standard one-year warranty. They are also eligible for Apple Care+ coverage for up to three years for added protection. Apple thoroughly inspects, cleans, and then ships refurbished products in a new white box with the power cord.
Apple restocks its refurbished store at least once every week. So if the Mac Studio configuration you want is not listed now, keep checking the store regularly.
