Apple’s yearly Back to School promotion is now live in the United States, Canada, and other parts of the world.
The company is offering a gift card of up to $150 on eligible purchases in the US. Additionally, students can score an extra 20% off on an AppleCare+ subscription.
$150 gift card and AppleCare+ discount for US and Canadian students
For the last couple of years, Apple has offered free AirPods as a part of its Back to School promotion. There was also an option to upgrade to the AirPods Pro by paying the difference amount. This year, the story is a bit different in the US and Canada.
The Cupertino giant is bundling a gift card on purchasing an eligible Mac or iPad. The promotion starts June 24 and runs through September 26 in the United States and Canada. You get a $100 Apple gift card on purchasing the M1 iPad Air or iPad Pro. Buying the M1 MacBook Air, 24-inch iMac or any of the MacBook Pros will get you a $150 gift card. The new M2 MacBook Air and 13-inch MacBook Pro are also a part of the promotion.
You can use the Apple gift card for purchasing other Apple products, App Store transactions, iCloud+ storage, Apple One subscription, and more.
Apple also offers students and eligible faculty members 20% off on AppleCare+. This is on top of the $100 discount on Macs and $50 off on iPads that it provides through its education store. The AppleCare+ discount only applies when you pay for the coverage upfront: two years for the iPad and three years for the Mac.
Free AirPods 2 for Asian students
In Asian countries, Apple is bundling free AirPods 2 with eligible iPad and Mac purchases on top of the education discount. They can also score a 20% discount on AppleCare+ if they pay for it upfront.
The offer isn’t exclusive to the Apple online store; you can also take advantage of it through Apple retail stores and authorized campus stores. You must be a college student, accepted to one, or a staff member to qualify. Parents can also take advantage of the promo for making purchases on behalf of a student.
