The new Master & Dynamic MW75 over-ear headphones will undoubtedly compete with top cans from Apple, Sony, Sennheiser and others. They boast up to 28 hours of battery life and adaptive, environmentally aware active noise cancellation.
But the premium Master & Dynamic headphones actually make AirPods Max look somewhat affordable. They cost an eye-popping $599.

The headphones include custom 40mm beryllium drivers to issue high-quality sound.
“As with all our ANC products, we set out to create a headphone with polished, intentional design and Active Noise-Cancellation that does not detract from the overall sound experience, but enhances it,” said Master & Dynamic Founder and CEO Jonathan Levine. “With the MW75, you can go anywhere and hear your music as it was intended to sound.”
Three different ANC modes take advantage of four of the eight onboard microphones, which are also used for calls. Adaptive ANC adjusts its level based on surroundings, which can help save some battery life.
The MW75 can play tunes for up to 32 hours with ANC turned off and 28 hours with it turned on, the company said.
M&D Connect app and fast charging
You can tweak ANC mode and adjust audio settings using the free M&D Connect app.
Fast-charging capability lets the headphones play for six hours on a 15-minute charge. They connect over Bluetooth 5.1 with a 100-foot range.
The headphones comes with a felt carrying case, USB-C cable, USB-C to 3.5mm cable, quarter-inch adapter and a twin airline adapter.
The MW75 comes in the following color-and-material combinations, according to M&D: Gunmetal/Black Leather, Silver Metal/Grey/Leather, Silver Metal/Brown Leather, and Black Metal/Black Leather.
