You know about band camp and football camp, but did you know there’s also Apple Camp? This is the twentieth year of the free program for children and families. And this year, it’s returning to in-persion sessions at Apple Store locations around the world.

Sign-ups began today, and the two-hour sessions are available starting next week and running through the summer.

Be a happy camper at Apple Camp

“We can’t wait for campers and their families to ignite their imaginations as they learn from our team members and each other during Apple Camp,” said Deirdre O’Brien, Apple’s senior vice president of Retail + People.

In place of camp councilors, Apple Creative Pros lead an Art Lab: Comic Book Adventure with Your Family. Campers and their families start by dreaming up a story about protecting the planet. Next, they use an iPad Pro and Apple Pencil to take photos, then add drawings, speech bubbles, and stickers to design their own heroic stories.

Apple Camp is for kids ages 8 to 12 alongside their parents or guardians. The sessions will take place in stores and outdoors, and devices are provided at the sessions. They take place each week from June 20 through August 31.

In addition, there is a new downloadable Camp Field Guide. This includes 20 at-home activities for iPad.
