The just-released Pages 12.0, Numbers 12.0 and Keynote 12.0 offer a variety of new features, including much finer control over font sizes in the iPad and iPhone versions.

And there are additional new features available in all versions of the iWork suite, including the one for Mac.

Apple updates iWork 12.0 apps for iPad with better font controls

iWork is Apple’s free productivity suite. As a no-cost option, it doesn’t include all the features of Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint, but it offers basic capabilities for word processing, spreadsheets and presentations. And Apple keeps improving it, bringing its apps closer to its rival’s.

Whether it’s the new Pages 12.0, Numbers 12.0 or Keynote 12.0 for iPad/iPhone, the changelog promises users can now “edit font sizes more precisely with up to two decimal places.“ And Pages users can “quickly start writing a new document on iPhone — just touch and hold the Pages app icon on the Home screen.“

Of course, the iWork suite is also for Mac. No matter the platform, Pages 12.0 supports publishing documents directly to Apple Books with file sizes up to 2 GB. And Numbers 12.0 supports copying a snapshot of table cells without formulas, categories, or hidden values on any Apple computer. Both Pages and Numbers have additional support for Voice Over.

On macOS Monterey, all three iWorks apps can use Shortcuts create or open files, and do a few other app-appropriate tasks.

There are new icons for the iPad and iPhone apps, too.

Download Pages 12.0, Numbers 12.0 and/or Keynote 12.0 for iPad/iPhone from the App Store. Or get Pages 12.0, Numbers 12.0 and/or Keynote 12.0 from the Mac App Store They are free for Mac, iPad and iPhone.
