Apple today confirmed that it will resume in-person “Today at Apple” events in the United States. Beginning March 7, customers will be able to visit their local Apple Store to “explore the art of remixing with GarageBand” — and Lady Gaga.

The events were stopped two years ago due to the COVID-19 pandemic, which also forced most Apple stores to close. “We can’t wait to welcome more of our communities back to our stores,” said Apple retail chief Deirdre O’Brien.

‘Today at Apple’ events are back

Soon after Apple cancelled all its Today at Apple events in March 2020, just as the pandemic went global, it launched “Today at Apple at Home.” The online versions of the sessions were made available to everyone for free on YouTube.

Apple used the lessons to teach us how to draw ourselves as Peanuts characters using iPad and Apple Pencil, shoot “otherworldly” photos in Night mode on iPhone, and to create awesome pet portraits.

Later this week, however, in-person Today at Apple sessions will resume at Apple Store locations in the U.S.

“Beginning March 7, Apple Store locations around the country will resume in-person Today at Apple sessions for the first time since the start of the pandemic, and just in time to celebrate Women’s History Month,” Apple said.

‘We’re so happy that Today at Apple is back’

“Music fans and creators of all skill levels are invited to visit their local Apple Store to explore the art of remixing with GarageBand — Apple’s music creation app — using music from award-winning pop star Lady Gaga.”

O’Brien, Apple’s senior vice president of Retail + People, said the company has “missed experiencing this connection in our stores, and we’re so happy that Today at Apple is back in person.”

You can register to take part in the first Today at Apple session through Apple’s website.
