Serious gamers like to use specialized gaming gear in their computer setups. And that includes input devices like souped-up mice and sleek mechanical keyboards. The good news is, the latter keep getting better and cheaper. On Wednesday, Logitech’s gaming arm, Logitech G, rolled out the G413 SE Mechanical Gaming Keyboard in two sizes.

And better yet, the two new keebs’ prices won’t break the bank.

Upon releasing the full-size and tenkeyless (TKL) versions of the device, Logitech G said the G413 SE “blends sophisticated design with gaming-grade mechanical switches with extremely durable PBT keycaps that are wear, fade and shine resistant.”

“We spent a lot of time carefully designing keyboards that deliver advanced performance with just the right feature set,” Logitech G VP and General Manager Ujesh Desai said in a statement. “Made with strong, durable materials and high-performance features, these keyboards are an excellent option for gamers who want a mechanical keyboard at a great price.”

Tactile switches

Logitech G said G413 SE Mechanical Gaming Keyboards feature Tactile Mechanical Switches, which “give discernible actuation for gamers who prefer direct feedback.” In addition, the keyboards feature heat- and wear-resistant PBT keycaps designed to hold up over time.

The keyboards feature white LED lighting and a black-brushed aluminum-magnesium alloy casing.

Logitech said the devices deliver more reliable key input than typical non-gaming mechanical keyboards. The addition of the six-key rollover anti-ghosting performance means you can press multiple keys simultaneously and they all will register at the same time to trigger a game move.

The keyboards work with macOS X 10.14 or later and Windows 10 or later.

Pricing and availability

The company said sales of the Logitech G413 SE and Logitech G413 TKL SE keyboards start in February.

Price: $79.99 (full size) and $69 (TKL)
