Audio-Technica ATH-GL3 and ATH-GDL3

When Audio-Technica said its two new headsets are light, it meant it. The closed-back ATH-GL3, which retails for $129, weighs in at 230 grams (8.11 ounces). The open-back ATH-GDL3, which goes for $99, tops out at just 220 grams (7.76 ounces).

The left earcup features each headset’s controls, which let the wearer adjust the volume and mute the microphone. The detachable boom mic with directional pickup provides clear in-game voice communication.

Both headsets are compatible with PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch Lite, plus laptops, PCs and other devices with a standard 3.5 mm TRRS headset connector or with a separate mic input and headphone output.

The the new Audio-Technica gaming headsets come with two cables: a 3-meter cable with stereo 3.5mm microphone and headphone connections, and a 1.2-meter cable with a combined 3.5 mm TRRS headset connection designed for gaming consoles, tablets and laptops.

Both headsets come in white or black finishes.
