Jim Henson’s fun-loving and musical Fraggles return in Fraggle Rock: Back to the Rock. The series will debut January 21 on Apple TV+. ‘80s kids, you can introduce your children to a show you loved back in the day.

Fraggle Rock: Back to the Rock brings back old friends

Beloved characters from the original Fraggle Rock — Gobo, Red, Boober, Mokey, Wembley, Uncle Travelling Matt — will be joined by new Fraggles and Doozers. They’ll all embark on adventures about the magic that happens when we celebrate and care for our interconnected world.

The first season of the new Apple Original series from The Jim Henson Company will feature characters voiced by special guests stars Patti LaBelle, Cynthia Erivo, Daveed Diggs, Ed Helms and Kenan Thompson. There’ll even be an appearance by Foo Fighters.

All 13 episodes of Fraggle Rock: Back to the Rock will debut Friday, January 21, 2022 on Apple TV+. They join the collection of Apple Original shorts, Fraggle Rock: Rock On! And all four season of the original show are available to stream now on Apple TV+.

Growing Apple TV+ children’s programming

These show join the catalog of children’s programming on Apple’s streaming video service. That includes another collaboration with The Jim Henson Company, Harriet The Spy.

There’s also the Emmy winning Ghostwriter and Helpsters from Sesame Workshop, Wolfboy and the Everything Factory from Joseph Gordon-Levitt, the Peabody-winning series Stillwater and many more.

And, of course, there’s plenty of adults, too, including thrillers, comedies, sci-fi, documentaries and more. Watching any of these comes with an $4.99-a-month Apple TV+ subscription.
