Belkin unveiled the Wemo Smart Video Doorbell that uses Apple’s HomeKit Secure Video. It’s built around a 4MP, wide-angle lens.
Also at CES 2022, Belkin announced redesigned smart plugs and lighting solutions with support for Matter over Thread, which means they’ll also support HomeKit.
Plus, the wraps came off Belkin SoundForm Immerse noise cancelling earbuds with support for Apple’s Find My system.
Wemo Smart Video Doorbell
Expanding Belkin’s portfolio to offer home security solutions, the Wemo Smart Video Doorbell features a 178-degree field of view and a 4MP high-resolution camera with enhanced night vision.
As a HomeKit smart home device, it is set up and managed through Apple’s Home app on iPhone, iPad or Mac. With HomeKit Secure Video, video is privately analyzed by the user’s HomePod mini, Apple TV or iPad using on-device intelligence to determine if people, pets, or cars are present. Plus, video recordings are end-to-end encrypted and securely stored in iCloud (iCloud+ plan required).
The Wemo Smart Video Doorbell self-installation option is available to order now. It costs $249.99 at Belkin.com in the US and Canada. Optionally, Belkin partered with OnTech for installation and setup.
Belkin goes big into Matter over Thread
In 2022, Wemo will introduce new versions of its most popular products — Wemo Smart Plug, Wemo Smart Light Switch, and Wemo Smart Dimmer — built with support for Matter over Thread. This new interoperability standard enables accessories to connect to HomeKit, Alexa, Google Home, etc.
The new collection of Wemo smart plugs and lighting solutions built to support Matter over Thread will be available later in 2022 in 25 countries.
Belkin SoundForm Immerse noise cancelling earbuds

Taking advantage of CES 2022, Belkin unveiled an improved version of its truly wireless headphones with Apple’s Find My tech built in.
SoundForm Immerse feature Hybrid ANC (Active Noise Cancellation), Multipoint technology, 12mm dynamic drivers, aptX HD, eight hours of charge per earbud (36 hours total battery life) and customizable EQ sound settings. “They are designed for true audiophiles who value a feature-rich solution and premium listening experience,” says Belkin.
And, if misplaced, the earbuds can be located via the Apple Find My application. Thanks to the Find My network, any iPhone or other Apple device passing near them sends an anonymous alert with the location.
