iPhone Swiper Stopper case
A smart and simple fix.

Don’t you just hate it when you show someone a photo on your iPhone and they rudely assume it’s okay to start flicking through your gallery? This bulky but brilliant iPhone case was designed to prevent that from happening.

The 3D-printed accessory features a detachable screen cover that blocks touch input, so you don’t have to worry about other people accidentally stumbling across your nudes — and then having to work through that trauma.

iPhone 13 case stops unwanted photo swipers

There’s no easy way to prevent other people from swiping through your photos after you’ve handed them your iPhone. You can ask them not to, of course, but people are nosey, and they’ll claim that did it “accidentally.”

Matty Benedetto decided enough was enough, so he designed the Swiper Stopper, an iPhone case that makes it physically impossible (almost) for other people to accidentally browse your photos at their leisure.

The Swiper Stopper features a screen cover that attaches to the front of your iPhone magnetically and blocks all touch input. When you’re done with it, it folds back behind the phone and stays out of your way.

No, you can’t have one

Sadly, the Swiper Stopper isn’t available for purchase. Benedetto, who runs the popular YouTube channel Unnecessary Inventions, built the device himself just for the fun of it. So, if you want one, you’ll have to make your own.

But judging by the comments on the video, there would certainly be a big market for a case like this one. Perhaps one that isn’t quite so bulky.

Benedetto has made other awesome iPhone accessories in the past. You may remember his Candy Catapult Case from October, which shoots hard candy at your face when you’re in the mood for something sweet.
