You won’t have to wait until Friday for the much-anticipated debut of Foundation on Apple TV+. The first episode of this adaptation of Isaac Asimov’s sci-fi classic will premiere2 on Apple’s streaming service three hours early, so Americans can watch it Thursday night.
The same goes for everything debuting on Apple TV+, including the latest episode of Ted Lasso.
How to watch Foundation on Apple TV+ a day early
Virtually all Apple TV+ shows debut at midnight Eastern Time early Friday mornings. Not this week. To give eager viewers an early look at Foundation, the first episode will hit the streaming service at 9pm EST on Thursday.
Apple made the announcement on Twitter, saying, “From @Foundation’s epic debut to @TedLasso’s Emmy-winning antics, watch the latest episodes from Apple TV+ three hours earlier this week. Streaming begins Thursday at 9pm EST/6pm PST.”

All that’ll be necessary to do is go to the Foundation page on Apple’s website or the Apple TV iPhone/iPad application after the premiere time.
This is the very first adaptation of Asimov’s epic series of novels about the fall of a galactic empire and the quest to rebuild civilization. And tonight’s premiere is only the beginning — the series could reach 70 or more episodes.

And Apple made it clear that the early debut applies to every episode that would have launched Friday morning. That includes fresh Ted Lasso, The Morning Show, See and Truth Be Told.
