Leaker Sonny Dickson showed off iPhone 13 dummies Wednesday of four possible models that could be released this fall, in addition to case renders and video of a case, included below.

They all suggest a handful of tweaks to iPhone 12 that may be forthcoming in the new models.

A smaller notch

All the case renders show a smaller notch, supporting widespread rumors and information pointing in that direction.

Cult of Mac recently reported on Eurasian Economic Commission filings suggesting that change. The same information strongly suggested the addition of ProMotion tech on Pro-model screens — which will result in 120 Hz refresh rates, up from 60 Hz — and greatly enhanced storage.

Case renders:

Tweaked camera placement, bigger Pro Max

The Dickson renders and dummies show a modified camera module placement on the standard model compared to iPhone 12 models. Additionally, Dickson suggests that the iPhone 13 Pro Max dummy is slightly larger than the iPhone 12 Pro Max.

We would expect both dummy models and cases/case renders to show consistency, as Dickson’s do. They are usually based on the same leaked CAD drawings, often sourced through the supply chain. The drawings may or may not be genuine, however — which makes leaks like these into guesses rather than certainties.

Middling track record

As an Apple leaker, Dickson has a middling record, though it’s on the upswing. The website AppleTrack shows his reliability rating for accurate leaks is currently 71.4%, up considerably from the 57.7% it showed for him in early April.

He has had some accuracy regarding past iPhones leaks, such as iPhone 5 series designs. But his prediction in 2020 that Apple planned to get rid of the MacBook Air was wildly off target.
