Mann, a prolific musical YouTuber, has been writing songs about Apple dating back to the days of Antennagate and the iPhone 4. None other than Steve Jobs once played one of Mann’s iPhone ditties on stage at an Apple event. Each year after Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference, Mann pens a song based on the event.
His song this year won’t leave you any the wiser if you didn’t watch this year’s WWDC keynote. But it will certainly get you nodding your head — and reliving that Federighi catch over and over. Check it out.
Mann is a longtime Apple fan whose previous Apple-themed songs include “Duet With Siri,” “Autocomplete Song,” “I Am Pressing the Spacebar and Nothing Is Happening” and “Does This iPhone Have 5G?”
What always impresses me about his work is just how darned quickly he gets his songs out following an Apple event. Within hours of the keynote’s conclusion, “Okay! (WWDC21 Remix)” was already circulating online.
While I wouldn’t quite put it up there with WWDC 2020’s “I Just Go Into Jiggle Mode,” it’s nonetheless impressively catchy. And, hey, if it wasn’t for Mann’s efforts, would I ever have realized just how relaxing Craig Federighi’s voice is? Almost certainly not.
