Get your wallets ready, because Apple will supposedly launch an array of new products on March 23. On the docket for the event will supposedly be an updated iPad Pro, AirPods and Apple TV, as well as the debut of AirTags.
Trusted tipster Jon Prosser predicted the date early Monday on Twitter. He also gave a list of new products Apple supposedly will reveal: “AirTags, iPad Pro, AirPods, Apple TV.”

Prosser, who runs the Front Page Tech YouTube show, built a reputation for frequently leaking accurate info about upcoming Apple products.
iPads large and small
A highlight of the Apple March event is likely to be the 2021 iPad Pro series. Though this is not expected to be a complete redesign, the upgraded tablet could sport a mini-LED display to improving its visuals. And the series likely will include the first 5G iPad. The tablets also might come with additional built-in magnets for new accessories.
Prosser’s “reliable source” made no mention of an updated iPad mini, but previous leaks indicated that dramatic changes are in the works for this little tablet. Or not so little. Screen bezels could shrink significantly, supposedly allowing the display to increase to more than 9 inches.
What that will do to the price is unknown. The current 7.4-inch version is Apple’s smallest tablet (obviously) but it costs $70 more than the 10.5-inch iPad.
It’s possible a third-gen Apple Pencil will be unveiled at Apple’s March event, too.
Maybe a new Apple TV
Several reports from 2020 pointed to a new Apple TV coming this year, and Prosser says it’ll drop at this month’s event. The new set-top box likely would pack a faster processor and focus on gaming — virtually everything in Apple Arcade can be played on an Apple TV.
This would replace the 2017 Apple TV, and fans are surely impatient. Fortunately, the Apple March event is only two weeks away.
AirPods 3: Mix of regular and Pro
Apple is supposedly about to replace AirPods 2 with an updated version that uses the same general design as AirPods Pro but does not come with all the features. That means no active noise cancellation. But the in-ear headphones supposedly will get Pro-style touch controls.
Pricing for the new version is unknown, but second-gen iPods retail for $159 (or $199 with a wireless charging case).
Finally, AirTags at the Apple March event
A “one more thing” on the end of the Apple March event could be AirTags. Rumors of these item trackers have been circulating since 2019, but they could finally be about to launch. The most recent iOS 14.5 beta adds the ability to track them, for example.
Supposedly, you’ll be able to attach an AirTag to a keychain or a purse, and an iPhone will easily track down the device if it gets misplaced.
