iPad fans should mark March 16 on their calendars. Apple will reportedly unveil faster iPad Pro models, a significantly redesigned iPad mini and AirTags item-location trackers at an event on that date.

Previous leaks already spilled many details about these upcoming devices. Now Korea’s Economic Daily News reports that Apple will take the wraps off these products on March 16. This is expected to be a virtual event broadcast to the public.

The publication’s sources are only Twitter posts, but this is, at the very least, a reasonable guess. Apple unveiled the 2020 iPad Pro series on March 18, for example. That said, similar events arrived later on the calendar in previous years. In 2019, the date was March 25. And in 2018, Apple picked March 27.

Hot new iPads at Apple March event. And AirTags.

The highlight of the Apple March event is almost certainly going to be the 2021 iPad Pro series. Numerous sources say these tablets will arrive that month.

This is not expected to be a complete redesign. However, the upgraded tablet could sport a mini-LED display, improving the screen visuals. And the series likely will include the first 5G iPad. The tablets also might come with additional built-in magnets for new accessories.

Fans of smaller tablets should keep an eye out for the 2020 iPad mini, which could be in for dramatic changes. Screen bezels could shrink significantly, supposedly allowing the display to increase to more than 9 inches.

A “one more thing” tacked on the end of the Apple March event could be AirTags. Rumors of these item trackers have been circulating since 2019, but they could finally be about to launch. Supposedly, you’ll be able to attach an AirTag to a keychain or a purse, and an iPhone will easily track down the device if it gets misplaced.
