Mark your calendars. Chair Entertainment and Epic Games’ much-anticipated Infinity Blade will be hitting the App Store on December 9th.

The game will cost $5.99 as a universal app playable on the iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPod Touch (Third and Fourth Gens) and the iPad.

There’s a lot to look forward to here: Infinity Blade is easily looking to be the best looking game available on the iPhone, thanks to Epic Games’ work porting the Unreal 3 Engine over to iOS.

In fact, Infinity Blade looks so good that according to Chair Entertainment’s Donald Mustard, Steve Jobs himself was blown away by a demo of the game.

“He just said, ‘I can’t believe this is on one of our devices,’ ” Mustard recalled Jobs saying. After seeing the iPhone game, another Apple executive uttered, “This changes everything.”

If Infinity Blade can blow away a gaming skeptic like Steve Jobs, it’s got to be worth $5.99.
