The holidays have arrived early for Pokémon fans. Two brand-new games from The Pokémon Company just hit Facebook. Both are free-to-play, but only one — a Tetris-like tower builder — is available worldwide.

It should be a pretty spectacular holiday season for The Pokémon Company, what with two new Pokémon games recently arriving on Nintendo Switch — the hottest console (again) this Christmas.

But just in case you don’t own a Switch, and you won’t be waking up to one tomorrow morning, you can now get your Pokémon fix on Facebook.

New Pokémon games appear on Facebook

Pokémon Tower Battle, available worldwide, is a tower building game. It sees your favorite pocket monsters falling from the sky. You have to stack them up as best you can without them toppling over.

“As players discover, catch and level-up rare pokémon, they can compete in real-time against friends or across a global leaderboard,” The Pokémon Company explains.

“It might seem like a simple physics-based puzzler at first, but the strategic choices in where and how players stack pokémon will determine the true Tower Battle masters.”

Pokémon Medallion Battle is a little more meaty, but it’s only available in select Asian markets right now. It’s a card battling game that lets you collect Pokémon as medallions, then level them up, win gym badges, and more.

Both titles were built on Facebook’s Instant Games platform. You can play them on desktop using Facebook in your browser, and on mobile through Facebook Messenger.
