It sounds like the setup to a heist movie: a speeding truck smashing through a wall, screeching to a halt and almost instantly disgorging itself of a gang of robbers, perhaps all wearing disguising Dead President masks. Take away the masks, though, and you have the real-life caper of a bunch of Apple-coveting thieves who just hit up a reseller in Oregon.

The heist occurred at around 6:30am on Saturday at The Mac Pac in Portland when a few thieves crashed their truck through that establishment’s front windows and immediately started rushing around pilfering iPads, MacBooks and other sundry lootables.

Surprisingly, it doesn’t appear to be the first time someone has robbed the Mac Pac this way.

“The last person who did this we put away,” MacPac co-owner Randy Feldman told KGW, “so hopefully this will work the same way.”

His confidence lies in having the entire robbery on video tape. Even if the perps get busted, though, not all will be well: unfortunately, the thieves managed to bust up a vintage Mac museum that was on display in the store. Throw the book at ’em!
