Apple will reopen its flagship retail store in Amsterdam on October 24 following months of extensive renovations.
The redesign will feature a Forum and video wall for Today at Apple events. Visitors will also get the opportunity to take part in professional filmmaking sessions to celebrate the store’s reopening.
Apple first started upgrading its Amsterdam store in March. It erected temporary walls that allowed the site to remain open for business while construction work took place. But it’s about to get a proper reopening.
The redesigned store will start welcoming shoppers on Thursday, October 24.
Apple Amsterdam collaborates with Eye Film Museum
In true Apple style, the company has retained the external architecture of its Amsterdam store. The renovation efforts have been focused on the interior, which has been upgraded to Cupertino’s latest standards.
Apple is collaborating with Eye Film Museum, based in the Netherlands, to offer special Today at Apple sessions celebrating the store’s relaunch. Visitors will be able to take part in them from October 24 through November 21.
The sessions, named Beeld in beweging (Image in motion) will be hosted by film industry professionals, Apple says.

Apple Store upgrades aplenty
Apple Amsterdam is the latest in a long line of stores to see upgrades and renovations in recent years. Others include Apple Covent Garden in London and more recently Apple Fifth Avenue in New York City.
Apple Den Haag become the first Apple Store in the Netherlands to offer a Forum and video wall last November.
