A teardown video divulges one of the specs Apple refuses to reveal about the iPhone 11 Pro Max. The new phone includes a 3,969 mAh battery, significantly larger than the one inside the XS Max.

The video from DChannel is narrated in Vietnamese. Still, it shows the battery capacity, which proves significantly larger than the 3,174 mAh power cell in last year’s iPhone XS Max. The new battery is a single L-shaped piece, not two smaller cells connected together.

Apple promises that the iPhone 11 Pro Max lasts for up to five hours longer than its predecessor. And that bigger battery certainly helps.

The smaller iPhone 11 Pro version also should run longer between charges. It reportedly packs a 3,046 mAh battery, up from 2,658 mAh in the XS.

Other iPhone 11 Pro Max internal changes

A smaller logic board apparently makes room for internal connections for the third camera lens added in Apple’s Pro iPhones.

Those impatient for more internal details on the iPhone 11 Pro Max will likely wait until iFixit does its annual teardown of the newest iOS models.

No one has yet been able to confirm reports that both iPhone 11 Pro series models come with 4GB of RAM, up from 3GB in their predecessors.
