A group creative director for TBWA\Media Arts Lab, who is considered one of Apple’s lead creatives, is leaving for a new job.

Arnau Bosch Vergés has worked on a number of Apple campaigns. Notably, that included the multi award-winning Spike Jonze film “Welcome Home,” promoting the HomePod speaker.

Arnau Bosch Vergés is leaving to work on SoundStorming, a new social media platform for musicians.

“After working for such a huge brand that means so much to culture with amazing talented people like Spike Jonze, you’re spoiled,” Arnau Bosch Vergés told The Drum. “You ask yourself, where am I going after this? I think if I really want to push for something different and try to discover what’s going to be next, now is the best time ever, now Apple is at its peak.”

A turbulent time for Apple

While Apple may be financially near its peak, however, it still comes at a turbulent time. Apple has recently had its biggest executive shakeup in years. First was the announcement that Angela Ahrendts, Apple’s head of retail, was leaving the company. Now, a few months later, Apple’s long time design guru Jony Ive has said he is leaving to start a new design agency.

Apple has been working with TBWA\Media Arts Lab for many years. Roots of the partnership trace all the way back to the iconic “1984” Mac ad, directed by Ridley Scott. When Steve Jobs rejoined Apple in the late 1990s, he renewed the partnership. The first result of that was Apple’s famous “Think Different” campaign.

According to LinkedIn, Arnau Bosch Vergés joined TBWA\Media Arts Lab as a creative director in December 2015. Bosch was promoted to group creative director in April 2018.
