Apple’s second retail store in Taiwan, located in Taipei, opens this Saturday — and Apple has shared some advance pictures of the new Xinyi A13 store.
The store boasts a glass exterior and roof design reminiscent of Apple’s Chicago flagship store. It consists of two levels, with a pair of marble composite stairs descending to a lower, underground level.
The new store will open Saturday at 10am local time. To celebrate the occasion, there will be a live performance from Taiwanese singer-songwriter Eve Ai. This will kick off a six-week “Stage for Creativity” series of Today at Apple sessions. This is the first time Apple has hosted “artist-led Today at Apple sessions in Taiwan featuring world-class creators, including local artists based in Taiwan.”
Apple Stores in Taiwan
The first Apple Store in Taiwan opened in July 2017. It is located on the ground floor of Taiwan’s iconic Taipei 101 skyscraper in the Xinyi District. This was the world’s tallest building before it was overtaken by Dubai’s Burj Khalifa in 2009.
According to Apple, nearly 4 million people have visited Apple Taipei 101 since its opening. The new Xinyi A13 store is located at the bottom of the Xinyi A13 shopping mall in Taipei’s commercial hub District. That should give it a pretty massive level of footfall in its own right.
Will you be attending the opening of Xinyi A13? If so, make sure to send us some images and we can publish them (with full credits, of course!) here on Cult of Mac.
