Construction is well underway on Apple’s first Mexico City flagship retail store.

The upcoming Apple Store will be a standalone structure located in the Antara Fashion Hall at an upscale mall in Mexico City. Apple first committed to opening a Latin American flagship Apple Store back in 2017.

The new retail outlet is located between the museums Museo Soumaya and Museo Jumex. This makes it not only an upscale location that will appeal to locals, but also one that will experience plenty of tourist footfall. Pictures of the construction were shared by Apple Insider. The website has other pictures of the construction, which you can view by checking out its original article here.

Despite this being the first flagship Apple Store in the region, it’s not the first Apple Store altogether in Mexico. The first Apple Store in Mexico opened in September 2016. It is located at Mexico’s Centro upmarket Santa Fe mall.

The new flagship store is reportedly set to open some time in September.
