Worse Than Death, the new game created by horror title Home creator Benjamin Rivers, has a release date in the App Store.

The pixel art action-adventure game, which combines puzzle solving and exploration with plenty of scares will debut on June 26. Check out the trailer below.

The title follows the character of Holly, who returns to her home down for her high school reunion — only for things to take a turn for the weird. For anyone who remembers 1990s games like the Monkey Island titles or Full Throttle, Worse Than Death‘s look and feel will have them feeling right at home.

Amazingly, the game was actually designed using a Procreate on an iPad, thereby making it a truly iOS-centric gaming experience. According to Benjamin Rivers, it comprises around 4-5 hours of gameplay. However, there’s plenty more to bring you back for additional play throughs. Oh, and it promises to use sound in a really immersive way, so this is probably one title to play with your earbuds in.

You can pre-order Worse Than Death from the App Store here. Have you played any of Rivers’ previous titles? Let us know in the comments below.
