One way to get an idea of what Apple devices are on the way is to check the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) regulatory database. The database just got a new update — confirming a number of new 2019 iPhones.

11 new models have shown up, described as “Apple smartphones.” While it’s absolutely no surprise that new iPhones are on the way, this year’s update is slightly earlier than normal. Apple devices typically turn up in this database a couple of months before launch. Although don’t get too excited about a summer iPhone release!

The database doesn’t share any details about the new models. Instead, they are identified only by their model numbers. In this case, it’s A2111, A2160, A2161, A2215, A2216, A2217, A2218, A2219, A2220, A2221, and A2223.

As 9to5Mac points out, just because there are 11 iPhones listed it doesn’t necessarily mean 11 different handsets. While we’re expecting upgrades to the iPhone XS, XS Max and XR, the other models can refer to variants for different countries or markets. Some of these can have slightly different spec, such as offering different cellular band compatibility.

What to expect from 2019 iPhones?

The 2019 iPhone lineup is expected to come in the same three sizes as last year’s refresh. However, there will likely be a few changes. For example, Apple will reportedly add a triple-lens camera to its top line handsets. The iPhone XR upgrade, meanwhile, will supposedly boast a double-lens camera setup.

Addition rumored features could include improved Face ID, A13 processor, more RAM, two-way wireless charging, and more.  The 2019 version of the iPhone XR will also likely come in two new color options.

Expect to see them in September, as per normal. Even if the regulatory filings are a bit earlier than normally expected.
