Turns out pro hockey players can take iPhone pictures as well as they skate and brawl. At least, that’s the message of a new “Shot on iPhone” campaign.

Candid images taken with the iPhone XS by players of the game they love are going up at arenas in the U.S. and Canada

The images are being turned into billboards to catch the attention of hockey fans. These will appear at home ice of the Tampa Bay Lightning, Washington Capitals, St. Louis Blues, Edmonton Oilers, Carolina Hurricanes, Arizona Coyotes, Ottawa Senators and Philadelphia Flyers.

Take a look at some of the first billboards:

More about “Shot on iPhone”

The goal of the long-running “Shot on iPhone” campaign is to demonstrate that Apple’s handsets help amateur photographers create great pictures.

Anyone who thinks they’ve taken an especially good photo can put it on  social media with the #shotoniphone hashtag. Or you can get more specific with ShotOniPhoneXS, #ShotOniPhoneMax or #shotoniphonexr.

Apple occasionally highlights some of its favorites in media campaigns.
