The lovable Lemmings are back and better than ever. Help them navigate there way through challenging environments in a brand new game, exclusively for mobile, from Sony PlayStation.

With more levels than every previous Lemmings game combined (literally thousands!), carefully perfected touch controls, and plenty of variety throughout, it’s a must-have for mobile gamers.

With Nintendo now embracing mobile platforms — and making a killing from them — Sony’s PlayStation division has decided its finally time to follow suit. And what better way to start than with a brand new Lemmings game.

Originally released in 1991 on the Amiga, Lemmings is a wonderful puzzle-platformer in which players are tasked with helping a group of lemmings find their way home — without getting killed. But this isn’t just a port of the original game.

Lemmings is all-new on mobile

Lemmings on mobile is a brand new title in which the lemmings have found themselves a new home after an environmental catastrophe. But they haven’t exactly chosen the most hospitable place to reside.

In each level, you’ll have to help the lemmings avoid fire, saw blades, bubbles, and all kinds of other nasty hazards as they work to turn their hostile planet into a utopia.

Like Nintendo, PlayStation and partner studio Sad Puppy have rebuilt Lemmings from the ground up as a proper mobile game. Its touch controls have been carefully designed, and it plays in portrait orientation, so you can enjoy it with just one hand.

The game uses procedurally generated content so there are thousands of levels, grouped into an ever-expanding universe of worlds, each with its own theme, to play through. You’ll also encounter different lemmings from different tribes.

PlayStation promises even more tribes in the future, themed around seasonal holidays, as well as pop-culture events and more.

Lemmings is free to play

Lemmings is free to download on iOS, and you can enjoy all it has to offer without coughing up a penny. In-app purchases are available for those who wish to progress faster, however.
