Apple has busted out one more beta update for developers to play with before the end of 2018 with the first build of iOS 12.1.3.

The new iOS 12.1.3 beta 1 update comes just days after Apple released iOS 12.1.2 to the public as a way to fix patent claims by Qualcomm in China. Along with the new iOS beta, there are also new beta updates for macOS Mojave and tvOS.

Registered developers can download iOS 12.1.3 beta 1 from Apple’s online developer portal or install it as an over-the-air update by adding the proper installation profile to your iPhone or iPad.

The release notes for iOS 12.1.3 label it as the second beta. It appears that it has a lot of the same contents that were destined for the iOS 12.1.2 beta. Apple had to push that update out ahead of schedule to address the iPhone sales ban it was recently hit with in China.

So far, it looks like iOS 12.1.3 contains a bunch of bug fixes and under-the-hood improvements. It’s a minor update so there aren’t any big new features or UI changes. We don’t Apple to make any big updates to iOS 12 until after the new year when iOS 12.2 is released.

The macOS 10.14.3 beta and tvOS 12.1.3 beta also mostly focus on minor improvements. We’ll let you know if we find anything big in the updates once we get them installed.
